@lineapaoloshoes:

Ladies, we are just thrilled to collaborate with all of you! Thank you so much for sharing your insights with us. I’m going to jump right in since we have a lot to cover…

Love how you all came together for our Besties Campaign – Danielle, can you tell us how you all first connected and met each other?

@asequinedlife:

We connected and met directly/indirectly through the Boston blogging community. I met Kristy first– in November of 2015 – after we both were hair models for Living Proof at their headquarters in Cambridge. It was a long day and we grabbed a glass of our mutually favorite adult beverage, prosecco, so as to not waste our new ‘dos. We have been best friends ever since! I met Sanae next, through Instagram and later in person, where I clearly loved her even more than online so becoming actual friends was a no-brainer. I only met Natalie about a year and a half ago at a blogger meet-up, but it feels like we’ve known each other for ages and has since day one.

@lineapaoloshoes:

Always a huge fan of stories involving community, wine and hair salons – plus it’s so cool to hear about how two of you meeting in person segued into connection through your social networks as well.

You’re all creative as well as professional women – how do you find your friendship enhances these two different aspects of your lives?

@natmazz:

Let me take this one! It is to my benefit that I get to have the hearts and brains of Danielle, Sanae, and Kristy in my corner. Our varied professional backgrounds give us each a unique perspective. Our similar passions and creative drive make us stronger as a group. You know the saying, Never try to be the smartest person in the room. And if you are, I suggest you find smarter people… or find a different room? I think it’s applicable here. I like to be surrounded by smart women who enrich my life. And I hope that in turn, I do that for them. We’ve got a good room.

@asequinedlife:

Plus, after you’re done with school, it’s very hard to meet friends outside of work. I likely would never have crossed paths with any of these incredible women if not for all of us having the same creative outlet.

@kristylyons:

We’re able to bond over multiple facets of our lives, not only fashion. I lean on these girls for support in my social and professional life.

@bluebootsgo:

These ladies have my back. They inspire me to be the best version of me that I can be, creatively and professionally. We all are such different women, but THAT is precisely the reason why we value one another so much. This is what friendship is all about.

@lineapaoloshoes:

Your responses are so insightful into the genuine and supportive qualities of your friendship, can you expand on why friendships like yours are important in our “modern Social Media driven” culture?

@bluebootsgo:

It is no secret that social media can both bring people close together – setting the scene to witness the minute-by-minute details of someone’s day – yet it can also be isolating unless friendships have a chance to grow offline. I’m talking about those conversations that happen when technology remains in another room, and hearts are free to open, media free. There is a new social tundra out there, and social media has its place, despite its inherent faults. Without blogging or Instagram, I don’t know how I would have met these 3 professionally driven women. It still amazes me that we are friends in real life – and it is awesome. Nothing can replace having girlfriends.

@natmazz:

I totally agree! Unless you’re living under a rock, social media is a huge part of modern communication; and it’s not going anywhere any time soon. What I love about my relationships with Sanae, Kristy and Danielle is that it extends beyond digital. It exists there too- as everything has its place- but taking a day trip, or going for a walk, or sitting on my back porch with a bottle of rose’ trumps sending a DM any day of the week. I love that we make the time to do those things. They feed my soul.

@asequinedlife:

To build on what Natalie just said, as influential and important as social media is for the world we live in, and as much as I clearly love it, the world is nothing without human connection and support. We can automate everything else, but nothing can replace true people in our lives. We share connections and campaigns – like this one! –because it’s even better when we have shared success. One of my favorite quotes is from James Keller, “a candle loses nothing by lighting another candle”, and it’s very fitting for our dynamic.

@kristylyons:

Actually, our friendships make the digital world real. We show our readers and followers that this isn’t just a facade; there are real relationships being formed from this supportive blogging community.

@lineapaoloshoes:

It’s so interesting to see how each of your replies really builds on the previous one and vice versa – can you describe how your relationships have helped you learn and grow as an individual?

@natmazz:

Meeting these women has helped me grow into my life in Boston. I need girl talk and coffee dates. I need errand-running and brunch. Having friends I can call on for those things is what finally made Boston feel like home for me.

@bluebootsgo:

Our relationships have helped me to learn how to be a better friend – to listen, to experience, and to be open to new ideas. I’ve particularly appreciated their openness about their personal growth – they’re not afraid to acknowledge a challenge, but also share how they’re learning how to do their best at each moment.

@asequinedlife:

There’s a lot to admire about all of three of my dear friends. They’re inspiring in the ways they juggle career, family, friends, creative endeavors, and make it look easy.

@kristylyons:

And we rely on each other to navigate the sometimes tricky digital world, sharing tips and tricks, and providing feedback – I don’t hesitate to ask the girls: which photo do you like better, how’d you edit your photo like that, what hashtag should I use…

@lineapaoloshoes:

I think we can all relate to your experiences learning from each other. Ok, ladies, now for some fun – if you were to describe each of your personalities in three words, what would they be?

@bluebootsgo:

Danielle: detailed, loyal, caring
Kristy: loyal, intelligent, kind
Natalie: loyal, resourceful, persistent

And yes, I use loyal for each of these women! Each loves her family and friends very much, and this is a value that I admire and brings us closer together.

@asequinedlife:

Kristy: bubbly, dependable, creative. Sanae: calming, sweet, scientific. Natalie: friendly, thoughtful, fashion forward. Me: outgoing, reliable, loud (in every sense of the word, ha!)

@natmazz:
Danielle: Honest, bold, spirited
Sanae: Thoughtful, big-hearted, kind
Kristy: Smart, adventurous, girl’s girl
Natalie: Gutsy, determined, compassionate

@lineapaoloshoes:

And if you were to describe each of your styles in three words, what would they be?

@natmazz:

Danielle: Colorful, playful, sassy
Sanae: Cozy, feminine, artsy
Kristy: Chic, classic, fun
Natalie: Bold, trendy, fashion-forward

@bluebootsgo:

Danielle: colorful, feminine, fun
Kristy: structured, classic, colorful
Natalie: creative, meaningful, inspired

@kristylyons:

Natalie: bold, polished, fresh
Sanae: colorful, smart, tasteful
Danielle: bright, refined, chic

@asequinedlife:

Our styles are all different, but for this question I am actually going to list the three things our styles have in common: colorful, bold, innovative. None of us are afraid to try a new style or remix our current wardrobes!

@lineapaoloshoes:

See that was fun, I feel like I know all four of you so much better! But just to delve a little deeper…

Sanae, Danielle, Natalie – what do you most admire about Kristy?

@bluebootsgo:

She surprises me. She has something witty to say and makes me laugh. She is also a boss at work – seeing her success inspires me, even if it is in a totally different field of work. Kristy has an excellent eye – her architectural training transfers into her style and she is a great photographer too! I appreciate that Kristy is on the chill side – she and I are a little similar in that regard!

@asequinedlife:

Kristy always makes time for what matters to her– family, friends, career– she prioritizes the important things and manages to excel in all of them!

@natmazz:

Kristy is a girl’s girl. She is always the first to cheer on the women in her life with a “Look at you doing it for yourself!” It’s my favorite thing she says. Kristy cares. And women should build each other up like that.

@lineapaoloshoes:

Danielle, Natalie and Kristy – what do you most admire about Sanae?

@asequinedlife:

Sanae is a stabilizing force for me. Even when under stress, she exudes warmth and positivity!

@natmazz:

Sanae is a kindred spirit. She has a big heart, and kindness and warmth just exude out of her. She never has an unkind word for anyone, and truly looks for the best in people.

@kristylyons:

Her ambition.

@lineapaoloshoes:

Natalie, Kristy and Sanae – what do you most admire about Danielle?

@natmazz:

Danielle has a way of making you feel like you’ve known her for all your life. She has an ease about her; a way of making you feel like you’re in on some sort of inside joke, even if you’re just meeting her for the first time. And she’s a heck of a lot of fun.

@kristylyons:

Her bubbly personality.

@bluebootsgo:

Danielle pays attention to detail – she remembers everyone’s birthdays and the things that are important to them. She really cares about people and is intensely loyal. I admire her positivity and spirit in the face of some tough times. Danielle brings people together, and keeps them together.

@lineapaoloshoes:

Kristy, Sanae and Danielle – what do you most admire about Natalie?

@kristylyons:

Her passion.

@bluebootsgo:

Natalie is strong and loyal. She loves her family, and friends as family with a fierceness that is special. She also somehow juggles so much, and with grace and apparent ease (which is probably easier than it looks)!

@asequinedlife:

Natalie gives 110% to everything she takes on– and that list isn’t small. She is grace under fire!

@lineapaoloshoes:

Ladies, thank you so much for spending the day together on behalf of LINEA Paolo and in celebration of our ANNA and FELICIA Besties Campaign, I just have one more question…

What will be your perfect outfit and your perfect pair of shoes for Fall 2018?

@bluebootsgo:

My style for most of the year in New England is cozy chic. For fall, I love pairing cozy layers and soft fabrics, with structural elements and a little edge. The ANNA low wedge booties are exceptionally walkable – I already took them to NYC and walked all over – and the comfort, edgy style (not your average sneaker), and the design with soft fabric strikes a balance that I think reflects my style and aesthetic perfectly. I really like walking the line, pairing something that is a little dressier, like a LBD layer that can go from day to night, and shoes that look great and won’t limit the range of activities I can do. My ideal shoes are works of art, and empower without restriction.

@asequinedlife:

Fall is one of my favorite times of year, especially living in New England. I love cozy sweaters and leggings and I cannot WAIT to style my pink suede Felicia into the new season. Comfy chic is definitely where it’s at once autumn arrives!
@kristylyons:

Layers! True blue jeans (you know, that perfect color of blue?), a white tee, leather jacket draped over the shoulders, great sunnies and a sporty inspired pair of ‘kicks’ with a little added lift.

@natmazz:

Fall 2018 for me is going to be all about layering- layering prints, layering fabrics, layering silhouettes, and layering for warmth when the temperature starts to drop. I’m feeling super inspired by the 80’s at the moment, and I’m excited to extend that into my fall wardrobe (boxy blazers, big shoulders and black leather, anyone?)
My perfect pair of shoes for fall is anything I can walk in. I travel several times a month for work, and whether on a plane, hopping on the New York subway, or romping around Boston, my footwear has to comfortable and chic. Sign me up for a sporty sneaker or a classic over-the-knee boot.

@lineapaoloshoes:

Well, I’m ready to head out to Boston for some cozy, casual chic layered dressing accessorized by wedge sneaker booties!
